Taos, Enchanted Circle, Red River girls and Arroyo Seco

Lee trying to stop the icy wind while I have the window open taking photos.
( Lee has a new nickname Moose)

scenery on the way to Red River
We started today 9th Nov, with a gloomy windy rainy morning, but it didn’t last too long and changed to a fine flurry of snow. We set off to drive the Enchanted Circle about 80kms long, just outside of Taos, we weren’t  very enchanted to start with until we reached Questa, from there to Red River it was pretty scenic.
Rebecca, Carrie and Diane 1 ( Diane is the best chili maker in NM) with Lee

We stopped off at Red River Tourist Info, and were lucky enough to meet 3 great girls, Diane1, Carrie and Rebecca, Lee had them entertained for about 45 mins telling jokes in exchange for a couple of cups of New Mexico’s finest dam chilli and corn bread made lovingly by Diane.  Thanks it was delicious.  Thanks to Diane 2 for the wearing of the coat.

Bad weather is starting to clear

<>   We also went to the Taos Ski Village, looks great but not yet happening there until the snow picks up. We stopped off at Arroyo Seco, what a great little town, not even noted on the travel brochure. We picked up a nice etched glass vase there.
